The Southside Group runs 3 x 12-week terms across the year. We offer weekly 90-minute live sessions combining theatre skills-learning – team games/exercises to improve memory, eye-contact, self-expression, stage presence - with rehearsals for forthcoming productions. There is also the opportunity for members to socialise and interact. In the run-up to productions, the live sessions are supplemented with smaller online sessions (where participants benefit from closer attention) and intensive rehearsal weeks Working alongside a team of highly experienced professional theatre artists, the group works as an ensemble, with each member fully included at a level suited to each person. Currently, TSG has 18 members, aged from late-teens to early sixties, with a wide variety of learning disabilities.
