The Cost of Living Crisis has impacted many of us. Worries about day to day finances, can exacerbate existing mental health challenges, as well as create new ones.

If you are:

  • feeling isolated or stressed
  • suffering from anxiety or depression
  • feeling overwhelmed
  • not sure who to turn to for help

then to help you cope, we are offering a free Nurture in Nature Support Service with Judy Jamieson, a local mental health specialist.

Meetings take place in one of a number of green spaces in and around Woodlands Community Garden. In choosing locations, we take account of where you feel most comfortable, and the need for privacy and confidentiality. Walking and talking in a local park is also an option. Just being in a natural environment can alleviate stress and improve all-round wellbeing. Nature has the capacity to soothe and restore us. This will be a relaxed space to talk, share and rest in nature.

The level of support we can provide will vary from person to person. However for most people we are able to offer up to 5 one to one support sessions and people are normally seen within a couple of weeks of first contacting us.
