This service is for families with children/young people aged 4-17 who are affected by trauma. The service will work alongside all the relevant agencies and there is an initial 4-6 week assessment period involving the child and parent/carer after which the appropriate of the following therapeutic approaches may be recommended:

  • Play Therapy (individual or group)
  • Art Therapy
  • Relationship based Parent/Child work
  • Person centred adolescent therapy
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Family Work

How to access this service

  • You need to be referred by another organisation CAHMS, Head Teachers or Social Workers
