  • Food banks

The People’s Pantry is a membership-led shop that provides good quality food at a subsidised rate.

The Pantry stock’s a range of essential items, from store cupboard staples, like pasta, tinned tomatoes, and coffee, to fruit and vegetables, and baked goods. Over time we expect to be able to offer a wider range of food and essentials. Our stock will mainly be provided by Fareshare, a food redistribution charity, and by other local supermarkets and food providers.

Anyone can become a member of The People’s Pantry for £5 a year. They can then do a weekly shop for £4, which will provide a minimum of £25 worth of food. Members also have the option of paying a solidarity price of £5 per shop, to fund a small number of subsidised memberships.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please pop into the Pantry to fill in an application form. We will need to see some form of ID, (e.g. a driving licence or passport) and proof of address (e.g .a utility bill) to process your application. If you don’t have these, please get in touch to discuss other options.
