  • Family Support

As a result of the Pupil Equity Funding received by schools from the Scottish Government, Barnardo’s has been commissioned to work within several primary schools to engage families more closely with their child’s learning and thus positively impact their attainment. There is a mix of both targeted and universal work in the school and community bespoke to each individual school.

• We work with children, young people and their families, on a one to one or group basis, using a variety of interventions, to identify needs and to achieve positive outcomes.

• We work in partnership with parents/carers to empower them and to enable them to achieve better outcomes for their children.

• We work co-operatively with children’s services, health agencies and other community based services, to provide the most effective service for children young people and families.
