The Apna project provides support in 4 different ways:

  1. Home Care: providing personal care to children and young people aged from 0 to 25 years old with all forms of mild to severe disabilities throughout the day, thus giving parent carer and siblings respite from their caring responsibilities.
  2. Social Inclusion and One to One: A befriender is provided to take the child/young person out and enable them to learn new skills and enjoy leisure activities.
  3. Carer's Support Group: Offering a platform for sharing information and providing mutual support to families in similar situations. This once a month meeting also allows carer's to take time for themselves and seek the support they need.
  4. 19+: Group work for those aged 19+ that includes Sports, Drama classes and painting classes; help with employment and access to colleges as well as an escort to and from colleges and clubs.

We accept self referrals as well as referrals from social work and health services.
