Fostering means taking care of a child in a family environment, where they get the care, support and encouragement they need to grow up and flourish.

Are you…

  • Single, married or in a long-term relationship?
  • A parent already or with life experience that gives you skills for fostering?
  • Over 21 and with a room to spare that a child can make their own?
  • Available on a full-time basis to care for a child?
  • Based in or near Fife, Perthshire, Dundee, Inverness, Moray, Aberdeen and across the central belt including Edinburgh and Glasgow?
  • Compassionate and eager to learn?
  • Dedicated to helping children who have experienced trauma?

If so, you could make an ideal foster carer.

If you would like to become a foster carer, Aberlour Fostering will provide you with extensive training and support that includes regular access to experienced social workers, family workers, therapists, teachers and health advisers.
