Venture Scotland delivers free, outdoor-based personal development programmes to people who have experienced challenges in their life and want to make positive, lasting change.
Venture Scotland works with people aged 18+ living in Glasgow who are in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction.
Our programmes empower participants with the skills and strategies to understand and improve their mental wellbeing, develop self-worth and confidence, and to feel hope for their future.
Our programmes involve outdoor activities such as canoeing, hill walking and climbing, social and emotional learning sessions, 1-to-1 support, and residentials in the Scottish Borders and Glen Etive.
Participants will experience routine, caring relationships, safe spaces with peers, meaningful activity, mindfulness, time away from technology and the restorative effect of the outdoors.
