MCR Pathways
MCR Pathways is looking for volunteer mentors. They are a national charity working to ensure that every young person, regardless of their background or circumstances, gets the support they need to achieve their potential. MCR Pathways work alongside schools across Scotland supporting young people who may be care-experienced or facing additional challenges that can impact their confidence, well-being, and future opportunities. They do this largely by matching volunteer mentors with a young person.
A mentor’s role is simple but incredibly impactful -to meet with a young person for around one hour each week during term time, offering encouragement, listening support, and a consistent positive relationship. Mentors are not tutors or counsellors; they are trusted adults who help young people build confidence, aspirations, and belief in themselves.

We are looking for volunteer mentors to join our award-winning programme and make a profound difference. By dedicating just one hour a week, you become a trusted adult mentor who walks beside a young person, helping to spark their confidence, fuel their ambition, and awaken their potential.
