GAMH (Glasgow Association For Mental Health)

GAMH is an independent charity registered in Scotland. We promote the mental health and wellbeing of people and their communities; providing more than 2000 hours of community based support every week to people in Glasgow.

Our current services are preventative and purposeful in nature and increase the factors known to protect and promote good mental health. We recognise the need to maintain and develop strong community partnerships with all GAMH stakeholders and the importance of having a focus and commitment to the wider mental health and recovery networks.

Mental health problems affect at least 1 in 4 of all people living in Scotland. GAMH has 30 years of experience working with and supporting people who experience mental health problems and their carers.

GAMH has a diverse group of staff, volunteers, service users, carers and members who actively contribute their experiences and knowledge to shape our organisation’s values, vision and culture.

If you choose to be supported by GAMH we can offer you a range of individualised support and opportunities provided by a trained and experience workforce. Our workers have the knowledge and expertise to help you to identify and describe your support needs and goals based on your own situation. We can develop with you a plan of support which will build your confidence and social networks, help you learn new skills and work towards living your life without planned formal support.
