Barnardo's Scotland aims to provide support for children, young people and their families as well as influence policy and practice so children, young people and families can build a better future.

  • Barnardo's Glasgow Education Family Support

    Note: this service is only for children and families who live in Blairdardie and Aultmore Park

    As a result of the Pupil Equity Funding received by schools from the Scottish Government, Barnardo’s has been commissioned to work within several primary schools to engage families more closely with their child’s learning and thus positively impact their attainment. There is a mix of both targeted and universal work in the school and community bespoke to each individual school.

    A partnership between Aberlour, Barnardo's, Home Start Glasgow North & North Lanarkshire, Quarriers, Rosemount Lifelong Learning and Geezabreak and working with the North East Social Work Duty Team to provide early intervention family support to help keep families together

    The service is aimed at providing an early intervention support service to families with children aged 0-5 in North East Glasgow that are referred by social work.

    A support service working with children and young people aged 0-18 who have a range of emotional needs. We also work with their parents/carers and families to build on the emotional resilience of each family member, to promote positive mental health and to encourage social inclusion.

    The Apna project provides a variety of support for children and young people aged 0-25 with disabilities from families living in Glasgow.
