Creating a “safe space” where members who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Additional Support needs and their siblings/families can socialise with peers and have the opportunity to explore new situations and social activities in a person centred, inclusive environment without the social barriers and environmental factors. Building up peer to peer support networks for parents/carers where they can share information, knowledge and experiences. Encourage socialisation through active and sensory play. Ensure families have a place they can go without the fear of feeling judged or excluded. Working with local organisation's, sharing experiences, having access to training and information sessions. Promoting healthy wellbeing for parents and carers reminding and encouraging positive self care routines.
