Description

Woodcraft Folk is the co-operative movement for children and young people. We believe passionately in equality and co-operation and everyone is welcome to join us.
We help children and young people to understand important issues about the world: the environment, world debt, global conflict and sustainable development. The work we do supports our young members to build a peaceful, fairer world, and to develop their own ideas, their self-confidence and their skills.  We work to ensure that young people’s voices are listened to and amplified, so they can take an active role in shaping our world and their future.

We have groups for children and young people in Stirling, Falkirk, Glasgow and Edinburgh. At a Scottish level children and young people can also get involved with our Gathering of the Smalls events which engage young people in decision making and our Scottish summer camp where all our groups can join together.

Early each year we hold a Scottish Gathering for those involved with Woodcraft Folk in Scotland. The weekend offers training workshops and discussions as well as being a social get-together. This helps new groups and volunteers gain a deeper understanding of what they are a part of, as well as sharing skills and ideas, and strengthening ties with other groups in Scotland. We also hold skill sharing and training events several times throughout the year which bring people together to focus on particular topics and gain confidence in working with children and young people.
