Description

Visibility Scotland is a charity supporting children and adults who are blind or partially sighted and live in Scotland. We also offer support to families and carers of anyone affected by sight loss.

 

Our CYPF offer tailored family support and services for children and young people (aged 0-21) living with a visual impairment throughout Scotland.
We provide open, inclusive and welcoming services for children, young people and their families, carers and other professionals, including:

  • Little Explorer Groups for under 5’s
  • Tailored one-to-one sessions to aid mobility, use of technology and daily living skills
  • Fun, informative & social family events
  • Activity sessions for all age groups
  • Workshops for parents and professionals
  • Home visits
  • Dedicated telephone helpline
Covid-19 Specific Support

Telephone and email support for people with sight loss and their family and carers; including: Practical advice and linking individuals to local support services e.g. food delivery services. Support with accessible technology to help people with a visual impairment stay in touch with family and friends. Emotional support and a friendly listening ear to reduce isolation.
