We work with groups across Glasgow Southside on projects that inspire and enthuse people to take positive steps to improve their environment and quality of life. We are committed to enhancing all participants’ skills and confidence through training, workshops, volunteer support and mentoring programs. We have a strong track record in supporting community development by using greenspaces and food to bring people together.
We are working with Moogety Foods in Govan to help to continue to provide access to healthy food.
We have been updating the Glasgow Free Food map to reflect changes to community food services across the city (www.urbanroots.org.uk/freefood)
Our woodland volunteer sessions in Malls Mire are on hold but we are continuing to do safety checks and litter picking to ensure that the local community can enjoy the nature reserve during this time.
More coming soon on how to get involved with our online social groups, activities for children and young people and courses and workshops.
