theGKexperience is a youth work charity that works alongside children; young people and their families living in some of the 5-10% most disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Glasgow. We believe that all young people are brilliant and all deserve the same opportunities to succeed. Through residential experiences; local community work; one to one tailored support and a young leaders programme; we focus on long-term relationships and building trust in order to make a real positive difference to the life chances of these brilliant but under-appreciated and stigmatised communities.
We are only able to support families that we have an existing relationship with. We are supporting these families across Glasgow with energy cards, food, internet connectivity and programme of online activities as well as providing newsletters and board games.
