The Village Storytelling Centre improves lives and empowers communities by bringing people together, inspiring them to find, shape and share their voices and to realise their potential through the power of Storytelling. We provide a journey for people of all ages to access the arts, to engage in & develop their own creativity; to be confident in sharing their ideas, their stories and the stories of their community, ensuring their voices are at the heart of decision making and development.
Based in Pollok, we work with a huge range of local residents from babies to older adults, as well as many other groups across Glasgow including people experiencing homelessness, survivors of gender based violence, people recovering from addiction, and people with dementia.
We use storytelling to support people to improve wellbeing, increase confidence and develop a sense of connection.
We believe that everyone has stories worth being heard!
