The Sound Lab

The Sound Lab is a Glasgow-wide community charity that provides free music workshops and tuition. We believe ‘music matters’ and that music and creativity shouldn’t just be available for those who can readily access it and afford it: it should be available to everyone.

Sound Lab’s main goal is to provide music and creativity to anyone who can benefit from it; always free of charge. We deliver fun and accessible tuition courses to those who need it most, supporting them through music and creative workshops.

We are a proudly small organisation; made up of a dedicated team of volunteers and expert tutors who, together, bring free music and creativity to hundreds of people every year.

We carry out a lot of work with young people in communities of Glasgow; however, we also support asylum seekers and refugees; adults with disabilities; the elderly; and any other groups who could benefit from what we do.

Over the years, we have delivered a huge variety of creative courses, including guitar, drums, DJ skills, sound production, keyboard, digital music, singing, song writing, graffiti art, film-making and photography. Anything creative, we will aim to deliver.
