SiMY Community Development

The overall aim of SiMY is to develop a sustainable programme of activities for young people and their families in Townhead and the surrounding area which contribute to the development of both individuals and the community as a whole.
All activity at SiMY is underpinned by a commitment to experiential learning, which takes place in a range of mainly non-formal and informal settings.
We offer adventure learning that provides challenging experiences with an uncertain outcome.
We seek to stimulate self-reflection to help turn experience into learning.
We offer constructive support that helps to make sense of failure and celebrates success.
We provide opportunities for service to encourage compassion and make connections between various parts of the community.
