679 Old Shettleston Road, Glasgow, UK
We represent the congregation of Shettleston New Church of Scotland in the east end of Glasgow.
Shettleston New Church, like many churches across the land, was required to close doors when the country went into lockdown from the end of March 2020 until September 2020. And again from December 2020 until March 2021. The congregation were able to worship online thanks to YouTube sermons and this was supplemented by regular emails from our minister and our Discipleship Facilitator.
We re-opened for Sunday worship on 28th March 2021, Palm Sunday. Services are on each Sunday morning (see Services page) with a few restrictions still in place; the use of face coverings, and social distancing being the two main observations.
Some midweek activities are again meeting in the building; Brownies and Rainbows but as yet, other youth are still meeting by digital means. See the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Boys' Brigade pages for more info.
