We support families with a child or an adult over the age of 8, who have communication support needs arising from a range of disabilities including, but not limited to, deafblindness, hearing and visual impairments, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and autism. Many of the families and people we support live with a combination of these challenges. Sense Scotland also offer Early Years support, to families with a child under the age of 8 years.
What is Family Advisory
Family advisory is a free information, advice and support service offered throughout Scotland. We work with families to identify ways to make positive change in their lives and strive to provide a consistent and reliable service built on trust.
Our advisors will access these emails Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and will get back in touch with you as soon they can.
We can help with enquiries relating to the Coronavirus situation – ideas, emotional support and signposting to other organisations who may be able to help.
Please note that we cannot give out health advice. Please see www.nhsinform.scot.
If you require urgent assistance for your situation your local social work department is best placed to assist.
