Description

Ruchazie Vision

We seek to be a vibrant, worshipping, witnessing church in the midst of Ruchazie.

Ruchazie Values

1.     Our message is Jesus

We are following the way of Jesus. Where the historical person of Jesus, as revealed in the Bible is the centre and anchor point of who we are and what we do. Jesus in us, is the message, taking healing and hope to the community. We are blessed to be a blessing.

2.     Our identity is child of God

We have discovered that God the Father has lavished his love on us and has adopting us as his daughters and sons. We have meaning, purpose and reason to live because of his love. We are being transformed into his likeness and this is powered through prayer, worship and intimacy with him.

3.     Our way is passionate spirituality

We are led by the Holy Spirit, who fills, guides and empowers us. We are a people of hope which leads to fun and joy as we go on Kingdom adventures with our God and each other. This releases passion for life which we seek to express through vibrant, creative activities.

4.     Our core is grace

We love because God first loves us. Our love for one another is the overflow of his undeserved love offered to us on the Cross. Grace does not leave us as we are, it changes us from the inside out, making us more like Jesus. Only then can we offer this generous, welcoming, non-judgemental experience to our community.

5.     Our approach is servant leadership

We believe that we are all called to lead by serving. We look to our leaders to equip us for the works of God. We believe that we all have a voice. We seek to increasingly make space for local servant leaders to help us fulfil the call on us as a church.

6.     Our heart is for people

We long for a real, honest, authentic community where everyone is welcome. We honour humility and vulnerability in which each can bring who they are and what they carry. We love diversity while valuing unity. We seek to love those who are on the edge as we believe the Lord always comes to seek and save the lost.

7.     Our calling is transformation

We are being transformed by dynamic encounters with God and we seek to share this with others. We believe in the transformation of individuals, families and whole communities. We are disciples of Jesus, who have been restored to life by him. He has come to usher in the rule and reign of God and see the Kingdom of God established here on earth as it is in heaven and that is what we give ourselves to.
