Glasgow
Delivering the Young Person's Guarantee project in Glasgow. This is funded by Scottish Government to provide mentoring, employability support, and formal volunteering opportunities to young people in Scotland between the ages of 16 and 24 years. Although participation is open to all, we particularly want to encourage young people who are disadvantaged in any way, e.g. from BME or refugee communities, or who are disabled, parents, carers, or who have been in care, or who have health issues or been in the criminal justice system.
Project Scotland's Young Person’s Guarantee project is totally person-centred, focusing on the diverse and specific needs of each individual, helping them face and overcome any barriers they have with education, or lack of support and encouragement to achieve their potential. The aim is to equip them with skills and confidence, raise their sense of self-esteem, and when Covid restrictions allow, enable them to gain some work experience to increase their future opportunities for employment or academic/vocational studies.
