A friendly neighbourhood community food access point & community hub in Pollokshields using a Mutual Aid ethos working with a myriad of local partners. Open 3 days per week: Saturdays, Sundays & Mondays.
This service is self-referral for G41 households who currently are unable to afford food. One off or short term referrals may be made by other organisations/agencies for people out with G41. It is free.
2-3pm - Donations
3-5pm - Collection/drop in/delivery
Delivery can be requested for self isolating, elderly or disabled households; specific diet requirements met (including halal) & some basic toiletries/sanitary products are usually available. The food point aims to provide fresh fruit, vegetables, bread & milk. Signposting for financial issues & local support information is available at The Food Point. A range of languages are spoken.
A separate mutual aid service is available to deliver groceries to people who can purchase on a repayment basis. For delivery requests/enquiries, please call or text 07835 830980 between 2-3pm on days of opening. Or email hello@pollokshieldsfoodpoint.org
Anyone can refer or self refer within G41; any organisation or agency can request referral for one off or urgent requests for people out with G41 but within Glasgow City. If unable to meet a request we will inform quickly.
