75 N Canal Bank St, Glasgow, UK
Home to Scotland's only artificial whitewater course, a flat water basin with bathing quality water, and meeting rooms and storage facilities for clubs and groups, Pinkston Watersports is an official Glasgow 2014 Legacy project and is operated by Glasgow Watersports Ltd, a registered Scottish charity run by a volunteer board of trustees.
Our aim is to increase public participation in watersports by promoting access to coaching, clubs and events. Pinkston also provides a unique venue for organisations looking for wet and dry facilities.
Our community includes the people local to the Pinkston area and the organisations that support them.
We aim to make paddlesports affordable to community groups and have a reduced pricing structure for sessions delivered to schools and constituted community groups. We can design courses and sessions around the aims and objectives of your group, and can do anything from a one off taster session to a 12 week SCQF level 5 course for older school groups, with paddlepower courses in between. We can also offer opportunities to train workers up to bring groups to Pinkston which can further bring down the financial barriers to accessing paddlesports.
We work in partnership with other organizations and aim to attract grant funding to enable us to offer low and no cost opportunities to young people from North Glasgow.
