Description

Perennial is an occupational charity helping people of all ages who work or have worked, in horticulture. We provide free, confidential and independent advice, support and financial assistance to people working in or retired from horticulture and their spouses, partners and children.

Covid-19 Specific Support

We have increased the availability of advisers covering our helpline to keep up with any increased demand for services.
We have adapted our referrals process so that enquiries get to the relevant team quicker so that anyone contacting for advice can speak to the relevant person as soon as possible.
We have also had to change the way we work with service users as home visits are not possible due to government restrictions. This has meant we can arrange video calls as well as working with the service user over the phone, by email, post, Whatsapp and text. Where this is not possible we can look to address unmet need.
We have found contact with family members (where given permission) useful for vulnerable service users or those suffering from ill-health.
We have adapted our grants schemes to address crisis situations in the quickest possible way e.g. emergency food & fuel vouchers

Referral Mechanism
  • Referral from partner organisations
  • Members of the public can contact us directly
Who can refer?

Anyone can contact us using any of the contact details in this posting as well as our helpline email services@perennial.org.uk. We have a referral form available on our website https://perennial.org.uk/home/ways-we-can-help/services-contact-form/ and a helpline running from 9am-5pm Tues,Thurs-Fri and 10am-5pm Mon & Wed.

Additional Information

As well as offering debt and welfare rights advice across the UK, we offer a holistic advice service and will work to address all needs of the service user with other agencies.
