In Scotland, 1 in 17 people may be affected by a rare condition at some point in their lifetime, that’s 424,000 people in a population of 5 million.
In Glasgow, the Office for Rare Conditions works with patients and families affected by rare and undiagnosed conditions and the healthcare professionals who work with them.
Our Objectives:
To increase awareness of rare conditions; enhance the support available for children and adults with rare conditions, promote standards of clinical care, and encourage their participation in multi-centre research.
