Child abuse is preventable, not inevitable. That’s why, every day, we work to protect children, prevent abuse and make child abuse a thing of the past.
That’s why we’re here. That’s what drives all our work, and that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we'll fight for every childhood. As the UK’s leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse, we’ve remained committed to this mission for over 100 years
The coronavirus situation has created new risks for some children during lockdown, and exacerbated others. It's vital that everyone recognises the signs of abuse at this time and contacts the NSPCC Helpline with any concerns about a child's wellbeing, particularly as frontline professionals may not be able to maintain their usual contact.
The NSPCC Helpline can be reached 24 hours a day by email or through its online reporting form. Our team of experts can also be called Monday to Friday 8am-10pm or 9am-6pm at the weekends on 0808 800 5000.
