We are Music Broth - Scotland’s Musical Instrument and Equipment Library a social enterprise with charitable status (SCO48299).
Our ethos is make music playing, learning and enjoyment accessible to all.
We have brought together our library of over 1400 musical instruments and equipment since our inception 2 years ago. Much of this has been through individuals generosity through donations of musical instruments and equipment which we then restore and repair to be put back into the community where needed.
We support individuals, bands, families and organisations to make use of our library as a shared resource which is self-sustainable through an affordable membership scheme and alternative to buying items outright.
From Tuesday 19th May 2020 we will be advertising our musical instrument delivery service to people during the COVID-19 situation.
As people are stuck without creative opportunities and as we navigate reconnecting society in the next
year, we aim to address inequality of access to creative tools by sharing instruments. This will upskill
people on their own terms, provide a coping mechanism for the stresses of isolation, and help people
express themselves during this uncertain time.
For any musical instrument requests please provide us with specifics on what you need (e.g. Right-handed Electric Guitar, with strap and lead).
