Make Do and Grow is a social enterprise focussed on supporting growing families, developing creativity and encouraging reuse.
Based in Govan Glasgow our children's reuse shop and creative workshop offers low cost resources for growing families and a safe, community space to meet, play and create together.
Online workshops:
Make Do and Grow are running three free family focussed arts and crafts sessions online each week.
Toddler crafts (zoom. Crafts, play songs and story. Catch up on another week of lockdown with littlies).
Craft club (zoom. A chance to see each other and show off our creations. No recordings or social media).
Saturday family club (Facebook live, making games and toys from household materials).
Art packs:
Hand designed craft activity packs for children and families across Glasgow. Developed in age ranges (between 0-15), each contains at least 5 activities and plenty more materials, card, glue and pencils to get creative.
Almost 400 packs have been distributed via eight community groups to date. Mostly alongside community food support.
More pack ideas, videos and children's gallery links on our developing web pages.
Toy Library:
Make Do and Grow are also utilising toys and games donations from our closed shop to support the Govan toy library collaboration alongside NSPCC and Govan Housing Association.
We are able to deliver creative packs to any central distribution point across Glasgow but not individually door to door.
Where possible we ask organisations with large orders to support basic materials costs. This increases the number of packs and families we are able to support.
