Description

The project is for care experienced young people aged 14 years plus.  The basic premise is that care experienced young people and their carers/parents have a ‘notional’ family activity budget that they can use to participate in local sporting and cultural activities.  Local organisations can register to become a FAB provider and the young person will use their Young Scot card or other agreed method as the means to register and pay.  Providers can claim the fees back from Glasgow Life.  Money has also been set aside to allow young people to purchase associated kit and clothing as their interest progresses.

Voluntary sector providers who wish to register with the scheme will receive support to understand the challenges that care experienced young people might face.
