Around the world, torture is still used to silence and destroy lives. We stand with survivors, providing therapy and support, and fighting for change together.
Our Services include:
- Therapy and support - Our counsellors, psychotherapists, doctors, care coordinators and pain management specialists help people through the long recovery journey. We offer one-to-one therapy, group activities and other support including for physical pain.
- Asylum and rights - We work alongside survivors to raise awareness and campaign for survivors' rights in the UK. As well as practical support, we campaign on three issues (decision making, detention and poverty) which affect people who have survived torture in the UK. These issues severely hamper a person's ability to recover from torture.
- Fighting torture - We challenge our leaders and governments when they turn a blind eye to torture and what it does to people.
- Survivor activism - We have a number of activist and creative groups, led by survivors, that raise public awareness and influence decision-makers about torture and its impact.
