Description

Common Wheel is a charity that provides meaningful activity for people with mental illness through working with bicycles, music and art - and now climbing, too!

We strive to be one of Glasgow’s most highly valued mental health charities, known and respected nationally for its pioneering and effective work across a range of activities; playing a key role in our clients' recovery and coping with mental ill health; and sharing our learning with the wider field.

We have four projects. Our bike project supports people in repairing and recycling old bikes into 'good as new' bikes for our clients to ride away and keep. Our music project supports people in singing, playing and composing music. Our visual arts project 'Carnival Club' supports people in designing and producing large scale art pieces to be displayed in various parades in Glasgow.

Our climbing project started in August. We are running this in partnership with The Climbing Academy and are very grateful for their support. Our projects aim to improve mental wellbeing, and support people in learning new skills.
