Carr Gomm is a leading Scottish social care and community development charity (SC033491). We currently support about 2;000 people every day across Scotland to live their lives safely and well according to their choices; whilst making plans to achieve their hopes and dreams for tomorrow. Our support is person-centred and strongly reflects our values of choice; control; respect; interdependence; and openness and honesty; ensuring that people can lead full and positive lives as active citizens.
We are working with individuals across the city in a variety of different ways; working with individuals we already support to ensure that they are able to stay safe during the current crisis. We are taking a navigation/ coordination role in ensuring the most vulnerable people we support are being seen and have contact with services. We are delivering food and essential supplies to individuals we support where this is essential and enabling those with Covid 19 symptoms to self-isolate by providing food and shopping. We are liaising with our partners in Health and Social Work to ensure that information continues to flow between them and the people we support.
Health staff and social workers who form part of the community mental health teams across the city. As well as older peoples commissioners involved with our supported living services.
