Buidheann Disathairne is a non-profit, volunteer led organisation formed to support families to use Gaelic in the home and for play by:
- Supporting parents and children to learn Gaelic together.
- Promoting Gaelic use for play, by providing Gaelic medium play-sessions
- Providing opportunities Gaelic speaking young adults, by providing Gaelic-medium employment, supported by full training.
Buidheann Disathairne is funded by a combination of membership fees and generous funding from Bòrd na Gàidhlig. Classes run in term-time only, on Saturdays from 9:45am to 11:45am. The club is not associated with Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu, other than using it's premises.
Classes currently cancelled due to covid-19 restrictions. Buidheann Disathairne are taking this opportunity to restructure and aim to turn the club into a registered charity so they can return next year stronger than ever.
